Our Mission is To partner with families in a Christ-centered community, supporting each child’s unique, God-given path through meaningful learning, time in nature, and shared life together.

Wildwood Christian Schoolhouse was born out of a deep desire for something different.

A place where learning is meaningful.
Where childhood is preserved.
Where faith is woven into everyday life.

We are preparing children for life through meaningful learning—guiding them as they grow into who God created them to be.

We believe every child has a unique path, and education should nurture that—not rush it. Through time in nature, meaningful work, and shared community, we walk alongside families in shaping not just learners, but whole, confident individuals.

Meet Megan

Hi, I’m Megan.

I’m a teacher turned homeschooling mom with a heart for creating something I couldn’t quite find—a place where education feels meaningful, life-giving, and deeply rooted in faith and community.

Wildwood is an extension of that calling.

I’m passionate about walking alongside families, creating a space where children can grow naturally, and building something that feels more like a community than a traditional school.

What Sets Us Apart

Our mission

To partner with families in a Christ-centered community, supporting each child’s unique, God-given path through meaningful learning, time in nature, and shared life together.

Our vision

We envision a generation of children who:

  • Love learning

  • Think deeply and creatively

  • Build strong relationships

  • Walk confidently in who God created them to be

Our approach

We blend the best of:

  • Child-led learning

  • Nature-based education

  • Real-life skill building

  • Strong academic foundations

We value rhythm over rigidity, curiosity over compliance, and connection over control.

A Day at Wildwood

At Wildwood, each day is thoughtfully designed with a gentle rhythm—balancing focused learning, meaningful rest, and hands-on exploration.

We begin our mornings gathered together, starting the day with reading God’s Word, memory work, and praises. This time sets our hearts and minds in the right place, grounding our day in truth, gratitude, and joy.

From there, students move into core subjects like reading, writing, and math, engaging through a mix of small group instruction and individualized learning. This allows each child to grow at their own pace while receiving the support and encouragement they need.

After a shared lunch, we slow down together.

We take a short quiet time, giving every child space to rest, read, or simply be still. This pause helps reset minds and bodies, creating a peaceful transition into the afternoon.

Afternoons open up into a time of discovery and creativity.

Students spend time in nature exploration, observing, wondering, and engaging with the world around them. They also participate in hands-on projects, life skills, and creative expression—learning through doing and experiencing.

Throughout the day, relationships are built, curiosity is encouraged, and children are invited to grow—not just academically, but as whole individuals.

This is a rhythm that preserves childhood while preparing children for life through meaningful learning.
